[Mailman] Varnish 503 node express

We have a varnish server 6.0 running on a VM (RHEL 7.0) in front of a "Node express UI" and  "Apache httpd backend".


Varnish is able to serve requests for Apache but we get 503 for Node requests. Both apache and node run on the same VM. The port is open and accessible via curl from varnish VM.


Could someone throw some light on this?
